Boo!

Hey, hey! How are you doing? I'm enjoying my free week. Can't believe it's almost over though. Where did the time go?! O.o

Today I have a Halloween card to show you. Say WHAT?! Yup, you read that right - a Halloween card. You probably know that I am not a big fan of Halloween and that I usually don't do Halloween crafts, but yesterday my sweetie asked me if I could make a Halloween card for him. I was a bit surprised by his request, but of course I said I would do it. He asked me if I could include a witch, black cat and possibly even some pumpkins on the card. Oh, and he aslo asked that the card isn't cute. I put my thinking cap on and went to work. It proved to be quite a challenge, because I don't have a whole lot of Halloween stamps, dies or embellishments, but at least it got me thinking outside the box and put my creativity to test. ;) Here's what the card looks like ...

First I drew the template for the tree. None of those that I found on the internet were exactly what I wanted so I grabbed a pencil and drew one myself. I added some tiny pieces of cheesecloth on the branches for the spider webs. At the end I also wrote "boo" using my white pen. I made the pumpkins and bats templates myself as well. On top of each pumpkin I glued some googly eyes so it looks like as if someone is peeking from behind.

Pumpkins, bats and cat are raised on foam pads which gives the card some extra dimension.

I gave this card to my sweetie earlier today and he loved it. Yay! :D I'm glad I accepted his challenge as it was nice to make something different.

Have a wonderful day! xx

Orange, purple and black

Hey hey! :) I'm back again. I had a crazy week at work, and couldn't wait for the weekend. Yesterday me and my sweetie did some baby shopping. Also my parents came along, because they said they wanted to buy a couple of things as well. Isn't that nice of them? It sure helped!! :) We bought a bed, a few clothes and some some other small things. It was fun! :)

Then today I finished a card I started working on last week. I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to make a card in black, orange and purple colours. Soooo not me. But one challenge I wanted to participate in asked to use those colours so I gave it a go. And here's how the card turned out.

I use lots of leftover scraps of paper from my stash on this card. I've been trying to use as many of those as possible and I think I'm doing pretty good.

Image is called Jade and is from The greeting farm. She's coloured with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils.

Ribbons, flowers, sequins and those teeny tiny pearls came from my stash.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful Sunday - what's left of it and don't forget to enter my candy. :) xx

Reindeer

Hey, hey! :) How are you doing? Good, I hope. I'm having a bit crazy week at work, but after this day comes to an end things will calm down.

A new challenge just started at Crafty ribbons blog and this week our theme is "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer". So this means we would like to see reindeer on your creation - and it doesn't have to be Rudolph. ;)

I like red and kraft colour combination so I decided to make a card in these colours.

I embossed the reindeer with gold embossing folder and then I used scissors to distress the edges of all the layers I used on my card. Doily, gold stars and gems came from my stash and ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here. Stars were cute with Nellie Snellen dies and then embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Ok, so this is all for today. I hope you are having a great day! xx

Flower raft

Hello my crafty friends! How are you doing today? I have to say I had a very productive day today. I did some housework, finished something for work, finished a card and I even did some beading. I was busy. ;) One lady asked me to make a necklace for hers daughter-in-law-to-be birthday present. I haven't done any beading in ages so it was nice to make something else besides paper crafts for a change. While I was going through my stash of beads and pearls I noticed I have so many that I couldn't use in a couple of years. I completely forgot I had so many ... Eeek. I think I should put some of them to use and make some more bracelets, earrings etc. Now all I need is time ...

I can't show you the necklae I made today, but I can show you a card I finished earlier. :)

To make this card I used lots of leftover scraps of paper from my stash. I combined those with some flowers, dotty ribbon, lace, gems and pearls.

I coloured up this adorable mouse with Promarkers, pencils and distress inks.

Unfortunately you can't see this in the picture, but I covered the flower with gloss gel, which gives it a really pretty shiny look.

Hope you had a lovely Saturday and that you have a pleasant Sunday ahead. xx

P. S. Don't forget to enter my candy. :)

Christmas candles

Hello my crafty friends! First of all for all the sweet comments you left on my baby post and for all the emails. Each of them is very much appreciated. You are all so kind! Thank you!! xx

How are you otherwise? I am a bit tired, but otherwise I'm fine. Luckily I don't have to do any extra stuff for work this afternoon so I can just relax and do some crafting. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow so I really need to recharge my batteries.

I would like to show you a card I finished yesterday.

I thought it was high time I start working on some Christmas cards and this is the one I just finished. I used some leftover scraps of paper from my stash for this card and some snowflake die cuts that I received from a friend of mine a while back. Image is from Sweet Escape Digis and I coloured it with Promarkers and pencils. On the Christmas decorations (baubles) I also added some glitter glue.

Gift shaped "ribbon" is from Folia and crystals, star shaped sequins, pearls and doilies came from my stash.

Have you started working on your Christmas cards yet?

So much from me today. If you haven't already, check my candy here. ;)

Have a great day! xx

Oh Christmas tree

Hey, hey! :) Phew, I can finally breath again. The last two weeks have been absolutely crazy. I've been so busy with work that I barely had any time for other things. But things are calming down and now I can breath again. Time to start playing "catch-up" again me thinks. lol

Are you in the mood for making some Christmas projects? I hope so, because we have a countdown to Christmas "event" ready for you at Crafty ribbons blog. Til the end of the year all our challenges will be somehow in connection with Christmas and I hope you'll play in many (if not all) of them. During this "event" all our challenges will only last 1 week. And this week's theme is "Christmas carols". I chose "Oh Christmas tree" as my inspiration and the result is this card.

I'm sorry for the crappy photo, but I was finishing this card at the very last minute. I didn't use any stamps, but I used this pretty Christmas tree die cut that I once received with RAK for the center of my card. I randomly glued some teeny tiny pearls on the die cut.

Papers are from DCWV and pearls, sequins and cheesecloth came from my stash. I also used some gorgeous volcan viscose lace from the CR store

I hope you'll come play with us this week. Have a great day. xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
The ribbon girl: Add lace and pearls
Papertake weekly: Anything goes
Word art Wednesday: Anything goes
Wags 'n Whiskers: Use a die cut
Bizzy Becs: Anything goes

Autumn colours

Hey, hey! Can you believe it's October already? September flew by so quickly for me! I have no doubt it'll be the same with this month as quite a lot will be going on. Autumn is already here and the leaves have already started changing colours. It's pretty. Now I just need to get my hands on some chestnut too ... ;)

Anyways ... Let's talk some crafty things now ... I was asked to be a guest designer at Stamping Sensations blog and of course I said yes. The theme this month is "Autumn colours" and I decided to make a birthday card. At this time of year many of my friends and relatives have their birthdays so I thought I better stock up.

I went through my stash and brought out some leftover pieces of papers in brown, orange and yellow tones. I also found some dimensional stickers (flowers and yellow frame) in those colours so I decided to use those as well. Image is from House Mouse and I coloured it with my pencils.

I embossed the white cardstock behind the image with Mpress embossing folder. Doily, brads, ribbon and pearls came from my stash.

I hope you'll join our challenge this month. Can't wait to see your autumn creations. :)

Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx
